Assuming this post spreads far and wide, it could become a useful resource! Please feel free to link it. It is now a sticky post on this community (thank you, mods).
Other Dreamwidth communities that may help you either to find new friends or reconnect with old ones include addme (very active right now) and dreamchasers (inactive, but archives include user information on other services such as AO3 and Tumblr, which this list does not).
Current status : Caught up as of Fri 23 June at 14:16 BST. Updating again in the evening of the next day at the earliest. If you find any mistakes in this list, please let me know. I'm working off the comment notifications I get from this post, so if you reply here I will definitely see it.
I'm looking for ppl over 18. Preferably towards my end of the age spectrum. Lgbt parents. People into femslash and people who aren't overly into m/m pairing in their fandoms. People who get social anxiety. Poets and writers.
Anyone else. I don't mind.
I'm 35, bi, genderfluid, married with a kid. I live in Wales, I work in a pharmacy and write fiction and poetry too.
I've got five cats and four chickens.
I will always love Stargate (SG-1 and SGA) and Trek (TNG, DS9, VOY) I have passing interests in other and currently love Dragon Age, MCU, Steven Universe, Brooklyn 99. I don't write as much fanfic as I used to still have a lot of ideas peculating up there. I miss being part of fandom though I've always felt like I was on the fringes.
I ship f/f and het mostly, and I read that too but I will write anything. Any pairing. I'm either mental or gifted. Not sure which.
I love old films from the beggining to the 70s. Love MST3K. The new series was great. I love crap films, I hate reboots but I will watch them sometimes.
I have a post here that has more about me if you want to check it out.
Age: Early 30s
Country: Usually the US
Interests and hobbies: I'm a fannish person but not in a single fandom - I'm a butterfly. I like to talk about what I'm reading, watching, or playing now, instead of writing a lot of posts about the same fandom.
Outside of fandom, I'm a graduate student in linguistics who does research in West Africa, and I'm really passionate about languages, especially those outside of Europe. I sometimes dabble in writing original fiction. I post a lot about music.
Looking for:: I miss the days of LJ fandom. I have a tumblr, but it's so impersonal and it's impossible to make friends. Really, it just feels very isolating unless you have a lot of friends there already. I'm looking for people who have a similar approach to journaling on DW as me: People who use it as a way to talk about their interests, and make connections with other people that way. I don't really use my DW as a daily life blog.
Anything else: My journal is mostly open, but I friendslock some fandom stuff. I have a pretty open policy re: grant access. It's mostly just to keep any real-life friends and family who happen to discover my username from knowing too much about my taste in porn (mostly slash, if that matters to you).
Name: Alchemia Dent
Age: as i saw someone else say, 'do you remember rotary phones?' :-(
Location: red city with more places of worship per capita than any other USA city. and i'm an athiest and queer and a masochist, so naturally we moved to this hellhole.
Languages: English, ASL (not that that helps much in a journal), my Dutch is rusty, as is my old english etc. Does perl or lisp (computer languages) count?
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: been on LJ since the time of invites before brad sold it. Love fandom, esp HP fandom but loath JKR and HP canon... if that confuses you, you may not like my journal (probably best known for meta rants, SurveyFail Ogi Ogas tentical porn, and various Snarry including Wandless, Pigfeathers and the WIP (a bittersweet potion) thats been waiting over a decade for the next installment because spouse & cowriter bugland and I never expected to be quadruple whammied with medical emergancies). Autistic and have Ehlers Danlos (genetic disease of connective tissue resulting in constant injuries and chronic pain). We have a mini farm with mini sheep, chickens, service dogs, african grey parrot, elderly cat i'm surprised is still alive and a few rats (this is actually way down from what we had before medical shit storm). financially poor, almost all my family is dead or disowned me, horrible social anxiety so no local friends, when not having a panic attack i am often depressed, haven't painted for over a decade due to arthritis, am nolstalgic for HP and LJ fandom when meta was frequent and indepth, canon was open, there was hope it wasnt one long cheesy calvanist tract..... i have no clue why i'm filling this out as i've no clue why anyone would want to friend me.
I mostly post about: i havent posted for a long time so trying to find my journal voice again... likely will be meta and fic/art and complaining about how worthless i am
My last three posts were about: jkr and cultural appropiation, info search on a work of art at a local museaum, computer woes.
How often do you post? trying to get back into it, so not really sure.
How about commenting? ditto. something i miss on other platforms that dont do this well or even discourage / prevent it.
Location: Within earshot of Disneyland fireworks
Languages: English, Latin... ("...speak seven languages badly and am subject to gout." - The Last Unicorn)
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I'm an old LJer who came over to Dreamwidth about ten years ago, but have been intermittently active. Like many fans, the low-effort shininess of Tumblr Where Everybody Else Is (tm) sucked me in. But I miss in-depth fandom discussion and lively comment conversations on people's fics. This fandom blog is dedicated to Doctor Who; I have older DWs but won't spam you with those since they're dormant. In real life, I'm a semi-disabled writer with a host of chronic health issues and a ginormous orange cat named Pumpkin.
I mostly post about: Doctor Who related fandom stuff: meta commentary, audio reviews, cons and personal Who stuff, fanfiction updates.
My last three posts were about: New chapter update on a Fifth Doctor fanfic, reminiscences about Who fannish experiences in the 80s (mostly), observations about an ongoing minor flaw in Big Finish Doctor Who.
How often do you post? Just getting back into the swing of things. Probably a couple times a week.
How about commenting? That's why I'm getting active on DW again; I miss it!
A GIF to describe how your day has been today so far:
(guess what I just went to see for second time this week)
Location: Denton, TX
Describe yourself in five sentences or less:
I'm an old school lj-er looking to start journaling again. I'm happily married to a quiet man. We have a very talkative cat. I work for a small university by day and am a writer by night. I met amazing people in my old LJ days and looking to meet future amazing people.
Top 5 Fandoms:
Queer as Folk
Parks n Rec
I mostly post about:
My life, my health struggles, my fandoms, writing life, and three positive things. I do enough politics on facebook. FYI - Liberal.
My last three posts were about:
Settling into my new journal, my intentions for this journal, and a 2 year old post from my former LJ.
How often do you post?
I'd like to post at least weekly to 2x a week.
How about commenting?
I'm a comment junkie!
A GIF to describe how your day has been today so far:
Gender: non binary using she/her for now
Describe myself in five sentences or less:
An introvert with many opinions which I fight to state despite being introverted. I am a qualified historian but yet to be able to put my degree to use so mostly remain a retail monkey. I'm a member of the SNP in Scotland and active in all senses whether that is being part of photo ops or posting leaflets or knocking on doors with a wide smile and a clipboard even if a Union Jack is in the plant-pot. I prefer reading factual books over fiction and take a personal pride in my cooking each night as given I'm at home most of the time I am the family chef. I am child-free and living at home while single but the love of my life is my lhasa-apso dog Nico who turns 5 in July and who was a huge factor in helping me overcome my social and general anxiety enough to function in the so called 'real world'.
Top five fandoms:
Harry Potter. Star Wars. The Hunger Games. Middle Earth. Charmed. Though I don't talk about fandom that much in my journal to be fair.
I mostly post about: My life. I have a lot of health problems so my dw is an outlet to talk about that. My dog (and my mum's two we live with) come up a lot. My blog changes from week to week. Sometimes I talk about what I'm reading. Sometimes I post links to articles I find interesting. Sometimes I post quotes. I can't claim to be consistent but I'd like to think I'm interesting. I'm a good commenter when I connect with someone though.
My last three posts:
♥ a complaint about when people take up awesome usernames and then don't use them.
♥ a link to my first graphics post in a year.
♥ a general run down of my past couple of days in the world.
How often I post/comment: I will post either every day or once every couple of weeks. It honestly depends on if I feel I have something credible to say. Twitter took a lot of those little posts away huh? I read every day so if I have something to say it would be daily but I don't always feel I DO have anything to say.
GIF to describe day so far:
I boast a Tumblr with thousands of followers, but none of them talk to me, so I decided to return here for the few that will.
You can find my interests in my profile. I am a super artsy intellectual--a true Brooklyn hipster. Oh, and I'm a 28 year old male who's never been kissed. I stay in my room, avoiding sunlight to prevent aging so I can make up for lost time. Someday.
Age: Very close to 30
Location: Back and forth between New York City and Upstate New York
Gender: Cis Female
Describe myself in five sentences or less:
Kind of awkward and shy, but I try not to come off that way. I love animals and wanna save them all. I've been a bookworm in the past but have fallen out of the lifestyle and I'm looking into picking it back up. It's my opinion that real life doesn't always have enough magic in it, so I tend to like fantasy/superhero genre shows, books and movies. In fannish speak, I'm a Slytherin, a Lannister, and a Noldo. I'm probably more Tina Belcher than I'd like to think.
Top five fandoms:
It's been years since I've written fanfic, but I run a Harry Potter read-along with some friends and I like to chat about fannish things with people with similar interests.
1. Harry Potter
2. The Silmarillion! Mainly anything to do with The House of Finwe. I think Tolkien seriously wrote this dysfunctional family just for me. Feanor is my dad. I love me some antiheroes.
3. DC/DCEU. I think the cinematic universe is weak so far, I still have hope! I should add that I haven't seen Wonder Woman yet, but I'm so excited that the reviews I've seen have been great.
4. Marvel/MCU. I'm planning on starting a full watch/rewatch of Marvel's movies, shows and shorts very soon. I'll likely be posting all about it as I go
5. Game of Thrones. The Starks are my babes but I'm a Lannister, I think.
Some honorable mentions: I'd love to see fanworks for Bob's Burgers, Attack the Block, Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus, American Gods book and TV, Chronicle,Gravity Falls, Teen Titans, The Incredibles, Vicious by VE Schwab, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Samurai Jack, Kubo and the Two Strings, Cowboy Bebop and tons of things I can't think of at the moment.
I mostly post about: Entertainment and media that I love. Writing. Online exploits. Maybe some of my photography in the future. (I'm trying to keep politics and real life complaints out of my journal. For reference, I'll say that I was raised in a liberal politics/conservative home values household but I'm very liberal).
My last three posts: I'm new here so you'll see my friends lock post and an about me type introduction later today.
How often I post/comment: I'm trying to start with at least once a week. It's likely to fluctuate between that and numerous times a week. I comment much more often.
GIF to describe day so far: Me writing this entry...
Age: Just entered my mid 30s
Languages: English and Thai
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I moved to the US when I was 3 and moved back back when I was 9, so my English is good. I'm a computer engineering graduate working in software programming. I've been an avid fan of Winx Club since 2005. I'm also great at geography and editing videos :-)
Top 5 fandoms:
The only fandom I've remained active for all these years is Winx Club (it's a major part of why I got an LJ to begin with), though I've also been a fan of The Amazing Race since the beginning. Currently I'm also into post-2010 animated Disney features (plus Inside Out), Equestria Girls, and whatever my eclectic tastes happen to fancy :-)
I mostly post about: Reactions to The Amazing Race (both US and Asia editions) dominated my LJ for the past couple of years, but 1) once upon a time, I made plenty of posts about Winx and the very occasional post on my life, and 2) I used to post plenty of icons at a now-defunct LJ community (had a good knack for it too :-)) I do hope to diversify, though...
I rarely post about: Personal life, except for really big events
My last three posts were about: Reactions to TAR... You'd have to go back to early 2016 to find my last non-TAR post :-\
How often do you post?: About once a month during TAR seasons (I try to gather several eps' worth of thoughts at a time) plus occasions I'm inspired to write about other things
How about commenting?: I've never been big on commenting for commenting's sake, usually only if I have something substantial to say. I prefer my comments to be more than simply "I like it! It's pretty!"
Tumblr/Goodreads/AO3/etc: I'm secondaccident pretty much everywhere you can think of. Expect for tumblr where you can find me under jimmmynovak (3 M's, obs obs)
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I'm Finnish Literature Major from Uni of Helsinki and I just graduated, so we're living interesting times since I don't know what to do with myself and my life after 6 years of more or less intense studying. I'm passionate reader and a book-lover. I do cosplay with my partner in crime and I've been doing that for 7 years now, so it's probably not going to change anytime soon. I'm terrible easily addicted to new things and I'm a sucker for all kinds of geeky things. LGBT rights, feminism and all that jazz. I'm pretty liberal in my views; if you're happy and not hurting anyone then I don't care what you are/what you like, it's probably cool by me.
Top 5 Fandoms: Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Supernatural, Harry Potter, Kingdom Hearts. These are probably my main ones I keep coming back to over and over again.
I mostly post about: Daily life, what I'm currently stressing/reading/eating/planning/doing/
I rarely post about: My relationship in terms of sex life or emotional struggles. Politics. I have strong political views, but current state of many things gets me so worked up and mad I feel it's just better not to write about those things after raging about them to all your friends and family.
My last three posts were about: Graduating, what I'm currently reading, money and how I really want to get our balcony to look nice, but how it's difficult when all out windows are facing South and it's like sauna out there and everything died last year, but now we're going to prepare ourselves to this battle with some tough-ass-plants that can survive in the sunlight.
How often do I post?: I aim for once a week but some times I write more, some times less, I don't know what happens now when I try tackling two languages at once. I'm not stressing myself about this matter, I'll write when I feel like I have something to write about.
How about commenting?: I comment if I feel like I have something to say. :)
A GIF to describe how your day has been so far:
Age: (soon to be) 30
Tumblr/Goodreads/AO3/etc: fuckyeahseb, FYSeb, or fyseb can reliably be assumed to be me
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Awkward and weird, I'm trying my best and sometimes I succeed. I trend towards quiet because I don't know what to say or how to say it and I'd like to not make a fool out of myself. (It happens anyways.) If you like anxious toe tapping and 'it made me think of you' links then come on down and see what you've won!
Top 5 Fandoms: Star Wars, Steven Universe, MCU, fandom itself
I mostly post about: .. not much right now but I'd like to change that. Locked is personal, everyday, family and friends sort of topics. Unlocked, or public, is things I do - crafting, gaming, and fanfic and fanart. (I'm not a good artist, and it's not modesty saying that, I really am a beginner and/or completely out of practice and you should expect that level prose and doodle from me. Don't get your hopes up!)
I rarely post about: .. anything that I think is really serious or important; reading other peoples' thoughts and opinions on a topic is fine but I usually don't feel confident about my ability to really talk on a subject. Posts about things like politics and related will probably be infrequent.
My last three posts were about: I don't have any at the moment! But my next post will be about art lessons and the one after that about Habitica.
How often do I post?: One to three times a week is my goal.
How about commenting?: I leave a lot more comments than I do posts; most often they're kudos or 'liked' types of comments - "kudos: i enjoyed reading this" or "kudos: i thought this was well drawn."
A GIF to describe how your day has been so far: Thank you, no. I am not gifted in GIFs. You can imagine a "u tried" gold star, however, if it pleases you.
Gender: cisgender straight
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I am a 40-something woman living and working in Acton, MA with my husband and my eight-year-old daughter, Tae. I often feel like I’m a very rare, boring, species to be found on the internet – a cisgender straight woman. I am a third-generation Chinese-American, an activist for equality, a feminist, a mentor and a lifelong student. I am a night-owl, a philosopher, psychologist, a sociologist, a reader, a writer and a budding blogger.
Top 5 fandoms: The Librarians and Leverage are the main two (I'm a big Christian Kane fan!)
But also Supernatural and I like the current Marvel and DC films and tv shows.
I mostly post about: I don't know! Let's find out, shall we?
I rarely post about: spreading hatred and bigotry
My last three posts were about: Returning to DW; my washing machine breaking down and the trials of finding a new one; how much I'm enjoying watching my daughter developing into her own person
How often do you post?: I'm aiming for a couple of times a week
How about commenting?: I like to comment. I enjoy conversing with people but I don't have anyone to comment to :(
Location: Washington St (but I type like a Southerner bc that's where I lived the longest)
Gender: cis femme
Languages: English. A smattering of random German and Japanese
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Friendly but snarky queer whose children are her cats and really, really likes robots and occasionally writes fics. Have no patience for the performative purity culture bullshit that's commons nowadays seeing as all it's done is allow abusers to pretty up their abuse with SJ terms. I'm besties with Decepticats!
Top 5 fandoms: Transformers, Iron Leaguer, Voltron, Destiny, Horizon Zero Dawn Edited to add: ACTUALLY THE TWO GAMES AREN'T EVEN IN MY TOP 5 I'M SORRY. It's actually Within the Wires and Alice Isn't Dead, I fucking love these podcasts and need more people to gush about with them.
I mostly post about: Everything.
I rarely post about: Unfortunately... I overshare so I don't really know how to answer this one.
My last three posts were about: Daily life, getting back into journaling after being used to fast and onsensical pace of twitter and tumblr... the cruise I'm currently on. >.> So i may be slow to answer comments!
How often do you post?: Trying to get back into the habit and shooting for at least once a week.
How about commenting?: I can be shy about commenting on new mutuals' posts! But rest assured if there's a fandom related thing or quite literally ANYTHING are archaeology/anthropology I will probably appear in your post to nerd out.
No gif because I'm on cruise-ship wi-fi. ;A;/ Sorry y'all.
Name: Tamanna, but most people call me Tam or Tammy
Age: almost 29, ack!
Location: Asia, shortly to be moving to Europe, if things work out
Gender: cis femme, she/her
Languages: English, French, and a teeny bit of Spanish
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Your friendly neighbour cis femme ace queer geek. I am a bit of a Cranky Fandom Old (relatively, anyway) having been here since the 90s, and have increasingly less patience for drama and purity nonsense. I write a lot of fix-it fanfic/headcanons. I'm a translator by trade and a language geek by dint of interest, and I love words in general.
Interests: Books/TV shows that aren't by/about straight cis white dudes, planning / bullet journaling, exploring new places, fashion, history, cooking, queer issues, disability/access issues, romance novels, podcasts, and more that I can't remember right now.
Top 5 fandoms: Harry Potter (with the caveat that I only acknowledge the existence of the first four books and NONE of the movies), Numb3rs, Check Please!, Superman/Batman, and Star Trek AOS.
I mostly post about: I’ve fallen out of the habit of posting after years away, but I’m trying to post about a combination of daily life (and my - fingers crossed - future move), fannish stuff, including fic, headcanons, and meta, and book/movie reviews. Linkspams, sometimes.
I rarely post about: Politics. If I think too much about the current state of the world I’ll start screaming and never stop.
My last three posts were about: Star Wars fandom meta, squeeing about the Pens winning Game 7 of the series against the Caps, a general State of the Tam post.
How often do you post?: Like I said, I’m out of the habit of posting, especially after years on Tumblr, but I’m trying for about a post a week, minimum.
How about commenting?: I like to comment a lot! I’m trying to be more active, especially since I’ve fallen out of the habit - if you post something interesting, I’m going to at least try and respond, assuming I have something relevant/intelligent to say.
Describe your day with a gif:
( Cut for people who don't want to see baby elephants )
Languages: English. My Spanish has deteriorated greatly over the years.
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: A friendly nerd. Queer and loving it. Obsessed with cats, robots, and coffee. Thinks waaaaay too much about everything. Is not good at introduction posts or complete sentences. ;)
Top 5 fandoms: Transformers, Star Trek, Voltron, Overwatch, One-Punch Man
I mostly post about: Daily life, typically, which will involve a lot of chatter about work and any mundane thoughts I want to get out. Writing as well. Probably also comics as I read them. I've been wanting to work on doing proper reviews/slightly more in-depth reads, so why not. :)
I rarely post about: ...I dunno? Fandom drama I guess? Not that I don't have plenty to say about it but I tend to just tweet & RT about it if something is getting under my skin.
My last three posts were about: Writing & setting up my writing community, work babble... there was a short post about my coming back to DW. Before that it was more of the same, lol. Comics and work. I live a pretty simple life.
How often do you post?: When I was in the heydey of LJ and stuff I would post a couple of times a week up to a couple of times a day. It just depended. I'd at least aim for a few times a week, if not daily posting. :)
How about commenting?: I like to comment a lot! I haven't been lately since I've added a bunch of new people and I suppose I'm sort of just... figuring out where to slip in. There's that thinking too much thing I mentioned above in action.
Describe your day with a gif:
( for those who don't wish to view a gif )
Location: Northern Europe
Languages: I'm mostly writing in English. Occasionally a vent in Finnish.
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Speculative and prone to obsessing about various topics from vintage romance to moon landings to antique lace machines to 9th century squatters in Tikal. Very much into science fiction. Monogamously married mom who daily interacts with others in the exact same life situation to the point of suffocating of similarity, so very interested in conversing with people who've made different life choices. Environmentally concerned and striving to make a positive impact on the world.
I mostly post about: Aesthetic observations. Far-fetched theories on cultural things. Trying to understand myself or other people. Particular obsession of the moment.
I rarely post about: stuff I could put on Facebook ie something that's readily connected to my day-to-day life.
My last three posts were about: Enjoyable feeling of being a foreigner during a recent trip, some bitching about other people's parenting (this is the first and hopefully last time to do that, so please don't worry it's my main interest!) and some thoughts about aesthetics of smoking.
How often do you post?: irregularly, a couple of times a month.
How about commenting?: Yeah sure! I've got so much pent-up commenting energy!
There's a decent number of us trans and nonbinary folks around. Something I miss most about the heyday of LJ are the communities. DW's trans communities are not used (unless there's some active ones I don't know about.)
So my idea is we make a new community where we can hang out and talk about trans stuff.
I have no idea what to call it, and I'm not saying I have to make it but I will if there's interest.
Cis folks, don't feel left out. You will be welcome too, as long as you are cool.
Comment if interested.
eta: i did just make http://transandnonbinary.dreamwidth.
feel free to join it! I'll add other folks as mods if there's any interest at all.
Location: DFW, Texas, though hopefully that will be changing soon
Languages: English, primarily. My knowledge of German and ASL is rudimentary at best, though I'm picking them both up again.
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: A lurker by heart, I tend to be a bit nervous interacting with people at first. But I'm very friendly, and I love to talk about writing and fandom and character analysis. Or my cats / living situation, so.
Top 5 fandoms: What a tough question honestly. I'll just go with what has me right now.
- DC Comics (Primarily Batfam related)
- Hunter x Hunter
- Boku no Hero Academia (plus a whole lot of other Related Anime Nonsense *coughs*)
- Kingdom Hearts
- Natsume Yuujinchou
I mostly post about: Writing! Because man, what a thing to complain about. Other than that, I'm going to be trying to post reviews of the shows I'm currently watching and hopefully keep up a good rating system for anime that way I can point to it as examples instead of me sputtering and saying "It's just good, okay" about fifty times in a row.
I rarely post about: Uh. Complaining about my life, honestly. I do post about it sometimes, but man, I sorta need to knock that off.
My last three posts were about: Life updates! Lots of stuff happened, then I disappeared off DW for like, a year, so then there's a post about me coming back. Tada!
How often do you post?: It comes and goes, but I'd like to get it to a weekly point.
How about commenting?: I'm gonna get better at that too. Right now, again, I primarily lurk, but I also don't follow a lot of people.
Describe your day with a gif:
Nah, brah, I'd love to, but the tiny netbook i have doesn't really have the capacity for handling things like loading gifs. ^^;;
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Gender: Non-binary/genderfluid (they/them pronouns pls)
Languages: English, with a wee bit of German. I'd like to practice my German though, so reading some German language journals would be cool.
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: An angry, small, autistic art punk. A full-time crazy person. A manic pixie dream girl with her own damn story. Brian Molko's pink-haired little brother. A post-goth alien weirdo hopped up on nanobots and coffee.
Top 5 fandoms: I'm not really much for fandoms, so lets go with interests instead.
1. The internet. How it shapes our world, how people use it to connect and disconnect with each other, all that sort of shit fascinates me.
2. Emilie Autumn, especially her Enchant-era. No interest in her present work if you were wondering.
3. Witchcraft, and all the strange philosophy that comes with it. Keen interest in weather, chaos and tech magick, tarot, herbs, and a lot of other rather spotty areas.
4. Zines! I fucking love zines. I've yet to actually publish my own but I ahve two that I'm getting ready for publishing: an as yet untitled perzine and Sharp Teeth, Soft Hearts, a zine for angry, sensitive people.
5. Music. I love music, and I'm trying desperately to learn several instruments and Abelton and I think I'm in love with the Suzuki Omnichord. I play the violin, ukulele, and a couple of chords each on piano and guitar. I most dearly want to sing but have trouble admitting that.
I mostly post about: Swimming my way around the noxious cocktail that is my brain and all it's contained illnesses and aberrations. I'm a self-diagnosed autistic and am working on getting an official diagnosis to be able to get on disability payments. Aside from that I also have borderline personality disorder, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, and sensory processing disorder; I'm just a big ol' bundle of acronyms. I'm also a film student muddling my way through a Bachelor degree so that's in there to. I write about my friends, my feelings, and my thoughts on things more than a cataloguing of things I did each day.
I rarely post about: Shit I don't care about. This is a weird question, as there's nothing I intentionally don't post about, and I always use trigger/content warnings when writing about abusive stuff from my past.
My last three posts were about: Clearing physical and mental clutter from my life, a list of reasons why I prefer Dreamwidth over other social media, and a general life update with some tidbits about my freelance graphic design thing and a music video I worked on.
How often do you post?: Either three times a day or once a month, there is no in between. I'm trying to be more consistent :P
How about commenting?: One or two comments every time I log on. I often have the urge to write long and detailed responses to well-articulated entries but I don't often have the energy and time.
