As there is currently a lot of ship-jumping going on, I thought it might be helpful to start a list that links LJ and DW identities, for those who wish to be found by old LJ friends. I've set one up below in order to achieve this. Please comment in the following format and I'll add you to the list.

"[LJ identity] is [DW identity]"

Hence, for myself, this is:

"nanila is nanila"

The list will be sorted by LJ identity. If your username starts with a non-alphabetical character, I will put it in the "numerical/symbol" section.

Assuming this post spreads far and wide, it could become a useful resource! Please feel free to link it. It is now a sticky post on this community (thank you, mods).

Other Dreamwidth communities that may help you either to find new friends or reconnect with old ones include [community profile] addme (very active right now) and [community profile] dreamchasers (inactive, but archives include user information on other services such as AO3 and Tumblr, which this list does not).

Current status : Caught up as of Tue 25 April at 22:05 CET and going offline. Online again in the evening of Wed 26 April at the earliest. If you find any mistakes in this list, please let me know. I'm working off the comment notifications I get from this post, so if you reply here I will definitely see it.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I'm not good at describing myself. I'm an introvert, happily married, and currently a student again for like the 4th time. I hate crowded places, yet I've lived in China by choice. I enjoy planning, bullet journaling, organizing, mixed media art, and living in a much more minimalist and intentional way than I have in the past. I am a follower of Christ and have been for almost 4 years now.

Top 5 Fandoms: I'm honestly not into fandoms as much as I used to be and I rarely talk about them, at least at length, in my journal. While I don't have the fervour for them like before I still do go through phases. I used to be huge into Harry Potter, LOTR, Vampire Knight, Harajuku Lovers, Tokidoki, so many more that I can't think of right now, and lots of different bands/singers. Right now I'm really into Riverdale but that's about it. I have a lot of different interests listed on my profile page.

I mostly post about: daily happenings, school, interesting stuff I find... whatever you know?

My last three posts were about:
- Having my friends guess which band I haven't seen out of a short list. I've seen lot of shows.
- A bit about my day at my volunteer position with an organization that raises awareness on the many issues related to the garment industry.
- Photobucket being annoying, my sugar addiction, and a missions opportunity.

How often do you post? It does fluctuate because life happens of course. Sometimes it's daily, sometimes it's twice or even just once a week.

How about commenting? I do try to comment as much as I can, but it has to be authentic. I comment when I have something to say, not just for the sake of it.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I love to read, I like dark and morbid things, I also like perfume-making, essential oils, massage therapy, reiki, and wearing jeans and t-shirts.

Top 5 Fandoms: This term is kinda new to me, but I guess it means which shows/entertainment I dig? TWIN PEAKS! X-Files, AHS, Vampire Diaries (guilty pleasure), Silent Hill, Elder Scrolls Online, Freddy Krueger, more but I'm on the spot!

I mostly post about: Personal ramblings, books and book reviews, pet peeves, art

I rarely post about: I avoid political tirades and religious debates.

My last three posts were about:

-- Icons I made years ago
-- Caffeine, books, ESO
-- Blood pressure fun

How often do you post? Daily, if not every other day.

How about commenting? I try to comment as much as possible, especially if I can relate to something.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I'm an artist / a creator/ a starry-eyed optimistic. I'm an introvert, a smart ass, and I say fuck a lot. (Don't worry, it offends me too) I live on a farm. I have muddy boots, painted fingernails, my own business, and a large collection of bungee cords. This is my fifth sentence.

Top 5 Fandoms: If you want to consider them as such... veg*n food, my husband, marketing/design, cruelty-free living, daydreaming

I mostly post about: Daily ramblings. Farm life. People in my life. Work. Smart ass things I should leave unsaid, so I write them instead.

I rarely post about: Politics & religion. I steer clear of both.

My last three posts were about:
-- Awkward encounters all day long
-- A trainwreck of an issue with a former friend
-- Whacking the fuck out of my leg while feeding the goats

How often do you post? Daily, for the most part. My writing style fluctuates greatly with my moods. I reserve the right to not make any sense at any given time as well as the right to make you think that six totally different people are writing in my journal. I even entertain myself in that aspect. Just go with it.

How about commenting? I comment when I have something to say, which is sometimes a lot and sometimes not.

malgrin: (Default)
[personal profile] malgrin
Name: Malgrin (online… practically since “online” existed).
Age:> 49 (gods!)
Location: Eugene, Oregon USA

Tumblr/Goodreads/IG/etc: I don’t use Tumblr and my Goodreads is primarily just for my own tracking purposes. The last time I used IG, I think I was taking photographs of toilets on the campus of my daughter’s university… so, best to skip.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less however many sentences it takes:
I’m a (re)married woman with two children of my own and three stepchildren - all adults. I’ve got a granddaughter and a grandson who will be born very soon. I love travel, novel / strange experiences, natural medicine and gardening, artistic exploits, music (dark and crunchy lately). I’m expressive. I’m a practicing Pagan/witch. Pagan topics and themes come up in my journal from time-to-time. I’m politically/socially quite liberal (which may also come up from time to time). I’m a technical writer who is studying to be a hypnotherapist. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy. Useful! I believe in practicing gratitude and optimism, though I’ve struggled with a resurgence of depression a bit this year, I’m always trying to sort out how to feel better about my life experience.

Top 5 Fandoms:
I don’t write about fandoms. I’m not a fan of reality. I generally only watch/read things that are fantastical in some way (or are historical). If a movie or show doesn’t include magic, ghosts, elves, hobbits, vampires, zombies, superheroes, etc., I’m likely not going to be terribly interested. If I wanted to watch regular ole cold-blooded murder, I’d turn on the news. That said, I DO enjoy documentaries.

I mostly post about:
My life. My journal is really my journal. General “this is what’s up” posts are shared with friends. Things of a more sensitive or intimate nature are not. I am a very project-oriented person, so I write about whatever project I’m working on at any given moment (could be painting a nightstand, could be starting a YouTube channel, could be sewing a costume).

My last three posts were about:
Dinner with my son (he’s going to look for a new job!), protesting Nazis, and acing my past-life regression test.

How often do you post? How about commenting?
I post about 5 days a week (Monday – Friday / once per day). Once I’ve begun to get an understanding of a person, I’ll begin to comment if I have something supportive or constructive (or funny) to say.

moreteadk: Close-up of hedgehog bristles, with my username written above (Default)
[personal profile] moreteadk
Name: [personal profile] moreteadk. I don't give out my real name online, unless necessary.
Age: 38
Location: Denmark
Tumblr/Goodreads/IG/etc: Angrboda on Goodreads. Don't have tumblr and don't even know what "IG" is.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Happily married to Husband, no children by choice, but two extremely cute cats. Preferred reading genre is primarily fantasy, but also enjoy historical fiction. Hate my job, but although we are wanting for nothing, only one of us working would still be rather expensive. Strongly introvert and quite shy. Immensely enjoying relatively new-found hobbies of cross-stitching (been doing it for three or four years) and patchwork/quilting, and am an ambitious beginner.

Top 5 fandoms: I don't really participate in fandom as such any more. I used to be active in Harry Potter, but although I still love the books, actual fandom activity is behind me. I will occasionally write about things, books, games, films, television that I'm enjoying, but that's about it.
Right now, for example, I've been enjoying "Grace and Frankie" (haven't got very far into that yet), and weirdly have fallen into "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" much to the amusement of Husband. I don't know what it is, it's just so charming. And of course my previously mentioned crafty pursuits. Can crafts be a fandom?

I mostly post about: Personal life stuff, which is always friends-locked. I also try to do 'What I'm Reading Wednesday' posts at least semi-regularly, and once in a blue moon similar for whatever I've been stitching or sewing. (I picked up the idea of a Crafty Tuesday sort of post, similiar to the reading ones, from someone on my flist, I forget who, but it doesn't seem to have taken off. Tuesday is not a good day for it for me anyway. Haven't given up on the idea, though.)

My last three LJ posts were about: What I'm Reading Wednesday (today), What we did on my birthday (about five days ago), and another What I'm Reading Wednesday (one week ago)

How often do you post? It varies. It's not daily, but I tend to have something once or twice a week or so.

How about commenting? I am not a frequent commenter. I comment if I have something to say and feel like I actually have something to add. I do not comment simply for the sake of commenting. Likewise, I don't expect people to always comment on everything. I would much rather have one meaningful comment than ten comments only made for the sake of commenting. If receiving regular comments from flisters is important to you, then we would probably not be a good match. I do reply to all comments I receive, although sometimes it takes me a little while to do so.

A GIF to describe how your day has been today so far: To be honest, I don't actually like GIFs at all. I find these constantly moving images distracting and a little unpleasant to look at. I've got a browser extension installed that makes them play once and not repeat, and it's worth its metaphorical weight in gold.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Queer lady person with too many records and not enough shelves for my books. I live in a small costal village, where I work in a museum. I enjoy traveling, cartoons, comedy and petting animals. She/her.

Top 5 fandoms: I used to be all about the fandoms, but lately... not so much! I read fanfic for a handful of fandoms, but it's p chill on that front at the moment. Actually, can podcasts be a fandom? I'm super into podcasts right now!
  1.  all the podcasts
  2.  Harry Potter
  3.  The Thick of It
  4.  Buffy (I'm re-watching the series along with Buffering the Vampire Slayer!)
  5.  Brooklyn 99

I mostly post about: Day to day life, music, comics, books, struggles with anxiety and depression etc.

My last three LJ posts were about: Life update, work goings-on, meeting a cat

How often do you post? It varies a lot! My journal was all but abandoned and updated about 1-2 times a year while on LJ, but putting in an effort to be more active after the move. Going try try to have at least two a week from now on.

How about commenting? Normally fairly regularly, but will vary in accordance to how busy I am irl.

xifeng: (it seemed like a good idea at the time)
[personal profile] xifeng
Name: Lee
Age: 37
Location: Indiana, in the Midwestern US. (This disclaimer is included because way too many people think I'm on the Indian subcontinent.)
Tumblr/Goodreads/IG/etc: My Tumblr isn't active (I'm just there to read history fansqueeing, why lie) and since my IG is a selfie wasteland I would really rather not give it out to people I don't know well. It's not illegal to ask me for it once we know each other better, though :D My Goodreads needs an overhaul as it has been a million years since I was on there.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I am self-aware, snide, smart, slightly scary, and something of a workaholic. I love words and history and dead things. I basically have two modes: THIS IS INCREDIBLE, I WANT TO BATHE WITH IT AND SLEEP WITH IT AND BE WITH IT 24/7 and "lol no1curr". Sometimes I am a spaz. Sometimes I am depressed.

Top 5 Fandoms: I really don't do fandom in the conventional sense and don't make very many fannish posts. About the most fannish stuff I do is occasionally churn out some Greek mythology fanfiction (I LIEK TEH TROJAN WAR), which is under a cut so you can skip it if you don't want to read it. I'm not sure if history counts as a fandom, but the ancient world, the long eighteenth century, and Tokugawa Japan are three of the great loves of my life.

I mostly post about: Real life, in which my lolmom and my jobs play rather large roles. Mildly entertaining things that someone said or did at work. Occasionally things I wrote, if I'm okay with people seeing them. Sometimes the odd to-do list, if I'm okay with people seeing that. Things I'm reading. Occasionally pictures. Anything that comes to mind, really. I may set up some filters for religious stuff (I'm Pagan, agnostic always, currently not-very-practicing and trying to fix that), but those are opt-in and no opprobrium applies if you're not interested.

I rarely post about: Politics. Social justice (my own interests therein are things like "does everyone have enough to eat? Does everyone have a safe place to stay?", not some of the more extreme things you find on the outskirts of Tumblr). My sex life (one, that's private, and two, I'm usually single and celibate, and pretty happily so). Things that I have been asked to keep in confidence. Things that I don't think anyone needs to know about.

My last three posts were about:
1.) I had a weird dream/here's how my life is going
2.) Hello LJ friends, I am no longer going to be on LJ but you can still follow me here
3.) (OLD) I drew a thing, here is a broken image link from before I switched domain hosts

How often do you post? When time allows. I work two jobs and am at work or in bed a good deal of the time. I'm hoping to be more active here than I have been in recent years on LJ, though.

How about commenting? I comment when I have something to say, and I try to reply to comments I receive. I am not, however, the person who says "hi" or "i leik cereal" just to have something to say, and if you have an emotional investment in MASS QUANTITIES OF COMMENTS, I'm probably not your man.

komischkatze: (Dipper)
[personal profile] komischkatze
Name: Silver
Age: No longer a teenager; haven't been for a while; simultaneously perturbed and relieved by that.
Location: On an island and north quite a bit.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I'm a long-time fanperson who left LJ in about 2010 after 6 years and migrated to tumblr, but I deleted my blog there recently.
Trying to get a new start in fandom stuff because I miss interacting with new people and I really miss how LJ used to be (which makes DW perfect!). And I'm getting back into writing fic for my own enjoyment.
Outside of fanstuff, I'm a queerdo that's trying to maintain a positive outlook on life! And who talks a lot but has the self-awareness to put most of it behind cuts :)

Top 5 fandoms:
Right now, I'm super into Gravity Falls, The Adventure Zone, and Kuroshitsuji. My long-term favourites have got to be Pokémon, and Harry Potter.

I mostly post about: Well, this is new blog, so I can't promise I'll be consistent, but I aim to post fic, liveblogs, meta, and maybe some fanmixes!
I rarely post about: I'll not write much about my personal life, here, unless it affects me getting online (working and studying at the same time can be exhausting!). I also won't write much about real-world politics, and I'm trying to avoid fandom politics.
How often do you post: On my personal, I've been posting daily since January, but I'm not sure over here. Whenever the whim takes me, but probably at least once a week!
How about commenting: I've been notoriously shy about interacting with people in the past, but I'm trying to get past that and talk more. I welcome comments from other people, too!

Top 5 Fandoms:
Right now, probably Star Wars, Agents of Shield, The Originals, MCU and Kimi no na wa|Your name.

I mostly post about:
Fandom! TV and movie trailers, spec, spoilers and reaction posts, fic and icons I make, occasionally meta.

My last three posts were about:
A fic rec, spoilers for The Originals, an AoS sneak peek and squeeing about a fic exchange; AO3 stat meme and A picture post about silly seasonal snack food in Japan

How often do you post? How about commenting?
I post every couple of days. I tend to comment on fandom posts, less so on personal posts unless I've seen you on the f-list/circle for long enough that I actually feel like I know you.

Tumblr/Goodreads/IG/etc: [ profile] cherryroad (private) + [ profile] lixhewett / lixhewett @ IG / [ profile] aclassicnotion / goodreads / [ profile] summerstorm and [ profile] aclassicnotion but I’m not posting on either very much. Mostly just lurk.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less:
I’m a sort of self-employed freelancer with a dream of being a photographer full-time who currently just does whatever will pay her fairly in the realm of design and blogging (, fashion & travel). My family’s pretty poor, I’m pansexual and possibly on the aro spectrum but it could be the meds I take for my depression and anxiety. I complain a lot and am happy not as often but spring does bring a bit of joy.

Top 5 Fandoms:
I’m fairly multifandom and have been lurking for the past few years, like, more than anything else just reading fic? e.g. I read a ton of Bellamy/Clarke modern AUs and have no intention of watching The 100. Previous shows I got overinvested in before quitting them are The Vampire Diaries (def quit), Pretty Little Liars (may well catch up sometime), Teen Wolf (I go back and forth because Allison). I also read Marvel movieverse fanfic (esp Captain America centric, let’s not even talk about the latest comics drama because fuck them and their horse).

I mostly post about:
My life, these days. I got sort of sucked into by doing work and my public blog and I needed a safe space, so I came back.

My last three posts were about:
A quick update and open 'ask me anything' type thing, a post about my last work trip to London from the train, and a state of the union type thing on my mental health and various issues.

How often do you post? How about commenting?
I try to read every day and comment every week at least, if I have something to say. Posting is a whole other beast but I’d love to get into a daily short-post schedule so I’m minimally pressured to post and really talk everything out. But I did just post for the first time since mid March. So it can be difficult.

A GIF to describe how your day has been so far:
If you’d asked me this morning when I had to run out to rescue my clothes from the rain I might have been able to toss an OC gif at you because The Rainy Day Women is my favorite thing forever, but truth is I’m not a gif person at all and don’t save them. I’ll occasionally look one up on twitter but that’s it.

I do however love cats.

How often do you post? Almost every day

nanslice: ([FFXV] mom and dad)
[personal profile] nanslice
Name: Nan
Age: 31
Location: Southeastern USA

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Hello, I am Nan! I'm a fandom oldbie (having been in fandom since I was 13), an artist (both traditional and digital), a fangirl (I'm a shipper, is what I'm saying here), a writer (both original and fan), and perpetually sleepy.

Top 5 fandoms: I'm a perpetual fandom butterfly and once I've been fannish about something, chances are I'll eventually go back to being fannish about it in the future. Right this moment, I'm particularly fannish about Final Fantasy (specifically XV although VIII and XII are also faves), BBC Sherlock, Yuri on Ice, the MCU, and Fire Emblem (currently playing Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest and Niles is 100% my husbando).

I mostly post about: Fandom stuff (what I'm working on, new comms and challenges here on DW, fic/art recs), art stuff (fan/original, traditional/digital), and Real Life annoyances. If I have a particularly nice day, I'll probably talk about that.

I rarely post about: I don't really post a lot about politics. I don't post a ton about social justice (I believe in it, of course, it's just not a focus on my journal).

My last three posts were about: Noctis/Prompto fanart, communities and art, and that AO3 meme that's been going around.

How often do you post?: Practically daily, lmao. I post a lot.

How about commenting?: I comment as much as I can! I think I do an okay job. Commenting, for me, is an important part of creating a community and that's basically what we're trying to do here on DW, right? :3

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I asked a writer friend for help on this the other night when I was trying to rewrite/update my profile and fell in love with what she wrote for me:

Hi, I'm Llama. I'm six foot ten and have bright orange horns that glow in the dark. I speak fluent sarcasm, fangirl and several dialects of snark. I originated on a planet in the Pegasus galaxy, and was rescued from a life of boredom by a flyboy in a puddle jumper. I have an attraction to pretty women with heart shattering smiles and I like to follow random musicians around the UK.

Top 5 Fandoms: Stargate - both SG1 and Atlantis

I only have brainspace for one fandom at a time. I watch and love and flail and glee over... well pretty much every tv show out there, I'm years behind on everything because I try to watch too much.
Lucifer, Saving Hope, The Librarians, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Bones, Castle, MacGyver, Lethal Weapon, Bull, Bones, Supernatural, Marvel/DC are among my favourites. Recent viewing includes Flashpoint, Shooter, Frequency, Saving Hope, CSI, Criminal Minds, Stitchers, Proof, APB, MAcGyver 2016, Rosewood, Constantine, Smallville, The Messengers, Timeless, Zoo...

I mostly post about: Anything and everything that goes through my head! my friends, my family, my job, the woman who loves me, the woman I love, my Dominant, my sex life, dreams, wishes, fantasies… i post fanfiction and fangirling and rambling and poetry and articles and essays and memes and lots of pictures… like i said, its a little bit of everything rolled into one. Just like me, really!

I rarely post about: Politics. religion. current affairs. Online is my happy place where I can get away from all the crap happening out there.

My last three posts were about: Updating my profile, housework, pretty pictures of pretty people

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I'm Jack, a recent retiree looking for a new hobby. Apparently 'annoying my girlfriend' isn't the best use of my days. Her opinion, not mine

I'm a life-long science-fiction and superheroes fan, and a voracious reader. I enjoy movies, fishing, astronomy, and gardening.

I live in Wales with my wife, our girlfriend and an ever growing collection of four-legged friends.

Top 5 fandoms: I'm not really a 'fandom' person. I certainly enjoy Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, Doctor Who, The Simpsons, Marvel, DC, various sports including football, rugby, f1 and ice hockey but I'm not at all involved in online communities for any of them.

I mostly post about: Observations of the world around me, general daily life, family, books/tv/movies/music. I like to think of my dreamwidth as an online extension of myself, so it's whatever's on my mind when I open up the 'post an entry' page

I rarely post about: I've only been doing this for a few months, there's not much I have posted about yet. I can safely say you'll find no hate speech.

My last three posts were about: BDSM & being punished for being unappreciative, classical music, being a feminist

How often do you post?: Sporadically and trying to improve. I'm aiming for 2-3 times a week

How about commenting?: I read my reading page daily and try to comment- but not for the sake of commenting.

I don't know how to post a gif - or even how I would find one. But to sum up my day so far; picture a man with a newspaper and a mug of coffee, sitting in bed waking up.

Describe yourself in 5 sentences or less:
My primary goal in life is to become the village witch you go to for mysterious and gross remedies who'll also play a round of Overwatch with you. I'm a lesbian, a gardener, a tarot reader, a gamer, an artist, and a lot of other things. I have a vested interest in the paranormal and occult, as well as horror-related things in general.

Top 5 fandoms: Creepypasta, World of Warcraft, Homestuck Hamsteak, Music, My Little Pony & various other cartoons.

I mostly post about: My life and times, the paranormal, world of warcraft, gardening, nature, weird local folklore, being gay.

My last 3 posts were about: See above.

How often do you post: Whenever I feel like it. I do try to at least crank out one or two posts a week.

How about commenting:
I'm pretty shy, so I tend not to comment. But when I have something to say I'll usually say it. I have more of a tendency to comment on people's sad posts to reassure them than anything else.

What I write about: My journal isn't a travel guide or a how to to living in this country. My journal is a collection of thoughts and experiences -- my life story. I also write about my weight-loss journey (trying to lose 6kg) and my new relationship. I'm part of a few fandoms but I rarely write about them. I update weekly, if possible, and check my F-list daily.
Me: I'm pretty honest and will be that friend that tells you what you need to hear as opposed to what you want to hear. I don't try to shove it down your throat though. I expect my friends to be just as honest as me. What are friends for if not to help us enjoy life but also keep us in check? I love pictures and having pointless fun. I love being with people but enjoy my me-time just as much. Huge pet lover. I'm a dog person. When I am active, I am active. But when I am lazy....oh boy!

I love: Anything EXILE tribe, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead (New fan, still only on season 4!) Japanese tea, Photos, cooking, dance, exercise, simple fashion, gardening.

I leave my most recent entries unlocked, feel free to grab a look!

Age: 32

Location: East Yorkshire, UK
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Originally from the midwest of the US, currently living in a tiny hamlet in the middle of the Yorkshire Wolds with my husband and our two crazy wolfdogs. Most days my life feels like some kind of surreal blend between 'the Vicar of Dibley' and a folk horror film, lol.  I'm an extremely earnest and friendly person, but also highly-sensitive, introverted, and prone to dark depressions and melancholic moods.  Above all, I love immersing myself in fictional universes, making deep readings of 'text', and discussing the stories and characters I love with others. :)

Top 5 fandoms

~ Star Wars is one of my greatest fictional passions, and my main focus is on the character of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, his return to his True Self,  and on defending and upholding the redemptive message of the Skywalker saga. My posts cover The Prequels, The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, Rogue One, and, of course, the Original Trilogy.  (Unfortunately, I am NOT a fan of TFA or the Disney Sequels, and basically ignore everything set post-RotJ in that version of the so-called 'canon'.) Fave ships: Anidala, Obitine, Kanera, Han x Leia, and Snips and Skyguy (as brotp).

Black Sails - I happened to randomly catch up on this show just in time for the series finale, and I was completely blown away. One of the best things I've seen in a long, long time. All of the characters and relationships are extremely compelling in their own way, but Captain Flint is my LOVE.  I've been a massive fan of Toby Stephens for over 15 years now, and so, as you can imagine, this show was pretty much heaven for me.

~ SanSan (Sansa Stark x Sandor Clegane) - one of my most beloved fictional pairings of all time, and a ship for which I never tire of reading fic and writing meta. (I also enjoy various other aspects of GRRM's A Song of Ice and Fire/Dunk & Egg universe, but books only, please -- I do not watch the GoT tv show!)

~ Bethyl (Beth Greene x Daryl Dixon) - another of my all-time favourite pairings, and the ship I've written the most fic for in recent years. I consider this ship to be a fandom in and of itself, as I have pretty much divorced it entirely from its original context in my mind. (So please, do NOT talk to me about The W@lking Dead, as the show itself sickens me and I have literally nothing to do with it anymore.)

~ Other interests and fandoms include, but are not limited to: Tolkien studies, medieval studies, folklore studies, reading/writing/editing, various and sundry period dramas, literary adaptations, and miniseries, Juliet Marillier, Neil Gaiman, American Gods, Twin Peaks (Audrey x Cooper), Kastle (Frank Castle x Karen Page), The Killing (Holder x Linden), BrBa/BCS, old movies, film noir/neo-noir, appreciating beautiful animation, MFMM, Firefly (Rayne and Malnara), The Last Unicorn, Jane Eyre, Beauty and the Beast, Tam Lin, animal bridegroom motifs in folklore, shape-shifting, fairytale illustration, art history, art museums, Scandinavia, Old English, Old Norse, Yorkshire, folk horror, folk metal, Warhorns Festival, horses, my wolfdogs (can't help but occasionally post about my fur kids), and more.

I mostly post about: Er..... all of the above? For further details, see my 'interests' section on my profile.

I rarely post about: Celebrity culture. Just ew....  I avoid twitter and that side of social media like the plague. I also try to ignore what actors, directors, and/or showrunners say in interviews, panels, etc.  If/when I do post anything even remotely related to this topic, it is generally in remembrance of a famous person who has passed away.

My last three posts were about: Anakin Skywalker and his role in the saga. (I have a lot to say on this subject ok,  lol.)

How often do you post?
: Not sure yet, as I am mostly active on tumblr, but I'm trying to change that and get back into this style of blogging again. So....maybe once or twice a week? I'm always around though, even if I'm not posting.

How about commenting?: Again, I'm not actually certain, but if I'm actively engaged in a conversation or discussion, you can rest assured that I will respond fairly quickly. :)

....defending my beloved Skyguy, as usual.
