dorchadas. I have a joint Tumblr with my wife
schoolpsychnerd at
thesunandthestorm.
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Jewish man living in Chicago who immediately thinks "tabletop" whenever someone says the word "gamer." I kept an LJ, and now blog here, because I still like long-form writing about my thoughts at least somewhat for an audience. I often wish I was still back in Japan (where we lived for three years), especially when I can't get good Japanese food locally. Married, no children.
Top 5 fandoms: Hmmm...Exalted (the tabletop RPG)...and that's it in terms of real fandom devotion. I mean, I have interests, but I don't participate in the fandoms to the same extent. Unless curry or dark chocolate are fandoms? I love those.
I mostly post about: Computer games, tabletop RPGs (I have running Actual Plays for two games I'm in), food, Japan and the Japanese language, and occasionally about daily life. On rare occasions, politics.
My last three posts were about: A review of the game Owlboy, a translation of a tweet from NHK International on a comment by Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga, and a Game of Thrones-themed brunch at a Chicago restaurant.
How often do you post? How about commenting?: Once every two or three days, on average. I comment pretty frequently when there's something I have to say.

Date: 2017-04-15 04:09 am (UTC)I prefer milk chocolate, but I can't argue about curry. Haven't had Indian food in ages, but am suddenly hungry.

Date: 2017-04-15 01:27 pm (UTC)We have curry just about weekly now--my parents bought me a book of fifty curry recipes and we went through and made them all to try them out, so we have plenty of options to choose from. Goa lamb vindaloo is amazing. Though Nine onion curry...less so.

Date: 2017-04-15 04:57 pm (UTC)I really must get back into cooking Indian food. Somewhere I have an Indian cookbook and will have to dig that up.
