Finally have time to jump in here
Apr. 13th, 2017 02:12 pmName(s): KJ. I can also be found at
iamkj,
lifeofkj, and
owlmoose. My LJ was a mirror of my DW (same username), but I stopped crossposting yesterday.

Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Underemployed librarian who has been in fandom for over a decade now. I write fanfic, meta, and increasingly about politics (of the progressive variety; I identify as a liberal feminist Democrat who is working on intersectionality). I love the community of fandom but have not been participating as much as I would like lately, so I'm always looking for ways back in. Since last year, I've been a contributor to the group blog
ladybusiness.
Top 5 fandoms: Dragon Age, Marvel Cinematic Universe (movies and TV), Critical Role, Final Fantasy X/X-2, Final Fantasy XII.
I mostly post about: US political situation, fandom meta, fanfiction, media reviews, general life stuff.
I rarely post about: It's a mixed enough bag here that I have a hard time saying there's anything that's off limits. I don't talk about my dayjob much.
My last three posts were about: Pictures from a trip to the East Coast, the LJ situation, and the Hugo Awards.
How often do you post? I try to post two to three times a week; sometimes it ends up being less than that.
How about commenting? On a semi-regular basis. I want to get better about this, too.

Date: 2017-04-13 10:15 pm (UTC)I agree that AoS needs more love! The first season got to a bit of a rocky start but once it hit its stride it got sooooo good. (I'm a couple of episodes behind, though, need to catch up!)

Date: 2017-04-14 01:32 pm (UTC)But AoS? Yup. I will be there watching it on TiVo a day or two later, guaranteed. It seems like every episode is a little bit more awesome than the last.

Date: 2017-04-15 02:32 am (UTC)I can totally see that. (One of my husband's recurring lottery fantasies is to buy one of the condos over the Safeway...)

Date: 2017-04-14 01:25 am (UTC)Have you seen Librarian Problems on Tumblr? It's a gold mine.

Date: 2017-04-14 07:20 am (UTC)I totally hear you on changing fields. It's definitely an idea on the backburner, either to embrace my new direction more fully (I'm currently a part-timer at a research organization) or to find something else to do entirely. But I'm not ready to give up on getting back to the library yet.
