Introduction
Apr. 26th, 2017 01:10 pmName: Malgrin (online… practically since “online” existed).
Age:> 49 (gods!)
Location: Eugene, Oregon USA
Tumblr/Goodreads/IG/etc: I don’t use Tumblr and my Goodreads is primarily just for my own tracking purposes. The last time I used IG, I think I was taking photographs of toilets on the campus of my daughter’s university… so, best to skip.
Describe yourself infive sentences or less however many sentences it takes:
I’m a (re)married woman with two children of my own and three stepchildren - all adults. I’ve got a granddaughter and a grandson who will be born very soon. I love travel, novel / strange experiences, natural medicine and gardening, artistic exploits, music (dark and crunchy lately). I’m expressive. I’m a practicing Pagan/witch. Pagan topics and themes come up in my journal from time-to-time. I’m politically/socially quite liberal (which may also come up from time to time). I’m a technical writer who is studying to be a hypnotherapist. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy. Useful! I believe in practicing gratitude and optimism, though I’ve struggled with a resurgence of depression a bit this year, I’m always trying to sort out how to feel better about my life experience.
Top 5 Fandoms:
I don’t write about fandoms. I’m not a fan of reality. I generally only watch/read things that are fantastical in some way (or are historical). If a movie or show doesn’t include magic, ghosts, elves, hobbits, vampires, zombies, superheroes, etc., I’m likely not going to be terribly interested. If I wanted to watch regular ole cold-blooded murder, I’d turn on the news. That said, I DO enjoy documentaries.
I mostly post about:
My life. My journal is really my journal. General “this is what’s up” posts are shared with friends. Things of a more sensitive or intimate nature are not. I am a very project-oriented person, so I write about whatever project I’m working on at any given moment (could be painting a nightstand, could be starting a YouTube channel, could be sewing a costume).
My last three posts were about:
Dinner with my son (he’s going to look for a new job!), protesting Nazis, and acing my past-life regression test.
How often do you post? How about commenting?
I post about 5 days a week (Monday – Friday / once per day). Once I’ve begun to get an understanding of a person, I’ll begin to comment if I have something supportive or constructive (or funny) to say.
