Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I'm Jack, a recent retiree looking for a new hobby. Apparently 'annoying my girlfriend' isn't the best use of my days. Her opinion, not mine

I'm a life-long science-fiction and superheroes fan, and a voracious reader. I enjoy movies, fishing, astronomy, and gardening.

I live in Wales with my wife, our girlfriend and an ever growing collection of four-legged friends.

Top 5 fandoms: I'm not really a 'fandom' person. I certainly enjoy Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, Doctor Who, The Simpsons, Marvel, DC, various sports including football, rugby, f1 and ice hockey but I'm not at all involved in online communities for any of them.

I mostly post about: Observations of the world around me, general daily life, family, books/tv/movies/music. I like to think of my dreamwidth as an online extension of myself, so it's whatever's on my mind when I open up the 'post an entry' page

I rarely post about: I've only been doing this for a few months, there's not much I have posted about yet. I can safely say you'll find no hate speech.

My last three posts were about: BDSM & being punished for being unappreciative, classical music, being a feminist

How often do you post?: Sporadically and trying to improve. I'm aiming for 2-3 times a week

How about commenting?: I read my reading page daily and try to comment- but not for the sake of commenting.

I don't know how to post a gif - or even how I would find one. But to sum up my day so far; picture a man with a newspaper and a mug of coffee, sitting in bed waking up.

I'm a sci-fi fan and I enjoy comic books and astronomy as well. Star Trek and Doctor Who are among my favorite shows. Can I add you?

Hey, you sound interesting and quirky. I'm also a sci-fi fan, a BDSM fan (mostly theoretically), and definitely can relate to the age issue (not 60 yet but getting there, much faster than I'd like). Added you - hope it's ok :)
