The migration is complete...
Apr. 18th, 2017 09:40 amI couldn't bring myself to accept the new TOS at LJ, so I've abandoned my journal there. :-(
97% was imported before I got locked out, however, as I saw the writing on the wall.
I think platforms such as LJ and DW serve an important place in fandom because it's one of the best mediums in which to hold conversations and discussions. So I'm really hoping to stay connected with old friends and meet some new ones.
Name: Sarah
Age: old enough to know better. (I remember 8 track tapes...)
Location: U.S.
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: Writer of mostly NC17 slash fic, and author of paranormal, urban fantansy romance books. Prefers jeans and boots to dresses. Amateur photographer. Has horses, dogs, and cats. It isn't a good day unless everyone comes home muddy with a smile on their face.
Top 5 fandoms:
1. Stargate Atlantis - John/Rodney
2. Agent Carter: Peggy/Daniel
3. Marvel Universe: Steve/Bucky, Peggy/Steve
4. Star Trek: Kirk/Spock, Spock/Uhura
5. Almost Human - Kennex & Dorian
I mostly post about: NC17 fic, random thoughts, discussion posts, author/book posts, recs, 100 days of Happy (where I post a photo daily of something that made me smile), writing
I rarely post about: Politics/politicians, sports, negativity, personal/family stuff (though I've had a lot of personal loss lately, so that has been more common than usual)
My last three posts were about: meme about life being more than bill payments, personal post, the importance/value of feedback in fandom
How often do you post?: Two-three times a week (if that)
How about commenting?: I try to comment on people's posts as I come to them

Date: 2017-04-21 01:48 pm (UTC)Yeah, it's going to be a learning process for me. I wish DW made it easier to post pictures because that's something I love doing. But I'm hoping to get back to journaling again. I might be mourning LJ, but it feels like a fresh start here now. :-)
