I couldn't bring myself to accept the new TOS at LJ, so I've abandoned my journal there. :-(

97% was imported before I got locked out, however, as I saw the writing on the wall.

I think platforms such as LJ and DW serve an important place in fandom because it's one of the best mediums in which to hold conversations and discussions. So I'm really hoping to stay connected with old friends and meet some new ones.

I'm always happy to see familiar faces names from ushobwri pop up on DW (even if my participation there stalled out ages ago), but I'm sorry it's under these circumstances. I hope you settle in well here and wind up feeling comfortable/at home.

(I still actively miss what LJ used to be like, even though DW's been my online home for eight years now and I've been steadily scaling back my contact with LJ all along, so I sympathize deeply with mourning it.)

Yeah, it's going to be a learning process for me. I wish DW made it easier to post pictures because that's something I love doing. But I'm hoping to get back to journaling again. I might be mourning LJ, but it feels like a fresh start here now. :-)

The comm's officially moving here at the beginning of May, so things are a bit disjointed right now. (I'm hoping the move will nudge me to get back to participating; I've been a member since Bru made it for people missing WriSoMiFu, but these days I don't know many members anymore since there's been so much influx--yay!--and other older members drifting off--buuu.)
