Name: Loomy
Age: 30
Location: Scotland
Other: Also the Singloom of LJ, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Deviantart and every other social media I've been on over the years. Like many, I finally finished importing from LJ recently and would like to meet DW friends.
Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I'm a library assistant and, as expected, I read a lot. My other hobbies include creative writing (FANFICTION,) playing the piano, video games, critical analysis of everything. Shameless fangirl and protector of my OTPs (and also love talking to others about fandom stuff.) Live with a chronic pain condition, but try to keep upbeat and as happy as I can (expect silly posts.)
Top 5 fandoms: (At least right now because boy howdy, I'm into so much stuff.) Persona 4. Persona 5. Final Fantasy XV. My Little Pony. Tiger & Bunny.
I mostly post about: Fandom trash, OTP ramblings.
I rarely post about: Hateful stuff. Mine is a happy place.
My last three posts were about: Watching South Park while eating Buenos, a Twitter crosspost and about being Pagan during Easter.
How often do you post? Ideally, daily. You'll at least get my Twitter crossposts. I try to post once a day. I rarely go too long without a post.
What about commenting? I try to comment as frequently as possible when online.

Date: 2017-04-19 03:50 am (UTC)I love Tiger & Bunny. I really got sucked into that show on my first watching. I think it's everything, the characters, the setting, the whole thing about NEXTs and our crime fighting duo being awesome. :D
I didn't know about LibraryComic before, but I'm certainly following them now. Thanks for sharing that. Sorry to hear about the study. I just work at local branches in small towns and got in by starting on a casual basis to gain experience. A school librarian would be a very interesting post.

Date: 2017-04-19 07:02 pm (UTC)>shrugs< I worked in my high school library as a student assistant (ended up being President of the Library Club senior year, which I don't remember really meaning much...) First real job was student worker at the Law School Library at college... I passed the School Library Media classes perfectly well, it was just the actual first semester where I was in an actual grade school class where I bombed. (Which considering some other things, may not have been a bad thing in the long run...)
Originally planned on getting MLS after college, but derailed myself pretty majorly...
I probably should look into volunteering at the local libraries, or even running for the Library board...
(sorry for the history / info dump)

Date: 2017-04-21 05:00 am (UTC)That's a good idea. That's how I got in, through a casual contract. There was only one place nearby that did a Library university course, but I was unable to get in at the time because they preferred students with some form of library experience, so it was like a cycle where I couldn't get in or get the experience for a good while. I only got a post when I moved out to a different area with a different council that offered a supply system.
