Describe yourself in five sentences or less: I love writing, especially writing Sims stories. I have been married to the spousal person for 14.5 years or so, and we have lots of cats. I deal with fairly hardcore anxiety. My job is taking pictures and virtual tours of rental properties. I grew up, and still proudly am, working class, and in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
Top 5 Fandoms: I'm not really a fandom sort of person. I write Sims stories, but I don't know if that really counts since they are original fiction and I just use pics from the game for illustration. I also play WoW. Umm - I love Terry Pratchett, although I haven't been able to bring myself to reread any of his stuff since he died. I grew up reading mostly 19th century classic novels - is that a fandom? My favorite of the authors I read growing up is Edgar Allan Poe. :) Also the current show the spousal person and I watch sometimes on DVD is Elementary. Okay, that's five. :)
I mostly post about: My eternal quest to understand humans and my eternal quest to understand myself, which the two eternal quests overlap a fair bit. :) I like to research developmental theories, psychology, sociology, neuroscience, philosophy, anything that crosses my mind. I am currently trying to stay away from the specifics of politics, but I'm always into social systems and trying to understand how humans work and if it's possible at all to get them to work better and be nicer to each other.
I try not to post about: Hmm. There's not really much that I won't talk about. I guess if there's one thing I'm big on avoiding, it's harsh judgement and gossip.
My last three posts were about: a bit of an introduction to the new people I've added today on here, a bit about my current Sims story project and some links to it on my WordPress, and being excited about posting on Dreamwidth and not being weighed down by the anxiety caused by the trollish part of the Sims community on LJ.
How often do you post? How about commenting? It varies a lot. Sometimes I post every day, sometimes it's just a couple of times a month. As for commenting - we'll see. I didn't do it much at all on LJ due to anxiety, but like I said, DW is all new and fresh, and I feel much more able to interact here. So with that in mind - I'd say every time I look at my reading list and I see cool interesting things or people who seem to need some comforting or commiseration. :)
