Name: teyla
Age: 30
Location: Germany
Describe yourself in five sentences or less:
- I have lived and worked in several countries, but currently live less than 30km from where I was born.
- I got into fandom at age 11 and made my older sister translate Sulu/Chekov fanfiction for me.
- I really like British TV, and my cat's name is Rassilon.
- I enjoy heartachey fic, and pairings where you don't know whether they're yelling because they're mad, or because it's their version of foreplay. (Maybe both?)
- It's been six years and I still don't understand Tumblr.
Top 5 Fandoms:
Hard to pin down. I tried.
The Thick of It - my current obsession
Doctor Who - recurring obsession, sort of a love-hate thing
Star Trek TOS - my first love, will always hold a special place in my heart
Due South - because it's Due South
House MD - an obsession from way back when that I've been having nostalgic feelings about
I mostly post about:
Fandom, real life, TV I've watched, writing woes, vidding woes, art woes, links to cool stuff I found on the internet
My last three posts were about:
1) The fic I'm currently writing
2) A job I might be getting
3) A link collection about Catholicism and Scotland in the 1980s (research for my current fic)
How often do you post? How about commenting?
I post maybe five or six times a month. I comment when I've got something to say. That said, I try to have something to say more often than not--my recent return to Dreamwidth was mainly fueled by wanting to talk to people, so I both try to comment regularly, and to keep the conversations in my own posts alive.

Date: 2017-04-14 03:58 pm (UTC)My gap is a year, since I made a point of posting for Christmas :) And I am writing up a long post re-introducing myself as we speak...it ought to be ready by Wednesday
Good to know though you may come to regret those words. Oh? How long have you lived there and where? I lived in Swansea, Wales for a semester during my studies (and even visited Torchwood ;))

Date: 2017-04-16 08:46 pm (UTC)According to Wales Online, in 2015 the memorial was apparently still there. If it's survived this long, I assume it's probably not been taken down. Ianto fandom was crazy, but I do like the fact that this memorial exists.
